Learn how to choose the right KPM Berlin lid for your fluted canister. Compare the Multicolore and all-white options and get clear fit rules.
Quick Answer
The KURLAND Kannelierte Dose Deckel is a dedicated lid for the fluted canister in the KURLAND collection. Choose the Multicolore version for a colorful, mint-accented look or the all-white version for a classic, uniform appearance.
Why the right lid matters
A properly fitting lid keeps your stored items fresh and your porcelain set looking cohesive. The KURLAND Kannelierte Dose Deckel is designed specifically for the fluted canister body, so using a lid from another series may not align with the fluted profile or the decorative relief.
Both lid options share the same dimensions and fit mechanism, so your choice comes down to color and decoration preference.
Decor differences that affect your decision
The Multicolore lid (ID 2191019) features a mint-green background with multicolored floral accents and glossy gold highlights. This is a statement piece that pairs best with other Multicolore items or as a single colorful accent on a neutral table.
The all-white lid (ID 2191018) shows the pure white porcelain with the classic relief pattern of egg-and-dart, drapery, and bead molding. It matches any KURLAND piece and works in both traditional and minimalist settings.
Decision Rules for Choosing Your Lid
- Check your canister base: Ensure you have a KURLAND Kannelierte Dose (fluted canister body). This lid is not compatible with other KPM Berlin canister shapes or sizes.
- Match the decor: If your canister is part of a Multicolore set or you want a pop of color, choose the Multicolore lid. For a seamless, classic look, pick the all-white lid.
- Consider display context: The Multicolore lid stands out as an accent piece. The all-white lid blends into a larger KURLAND collection. Think about whether you want the lid to be a focal point or a subtle part of the whole.
