Die kleine URBINO-Zuckerdose und den dazu passenden kleinen URBINO-Sahnegießer entwarf Trude Petri für das URBINO-Mokkaservice, das die KPM Berlin 1947 vorstellte. Damit führte sie ihren erfolgreichen Designklassiker aus dem Jahr 1931 konsequent fort: Genau wie das berühmte URBINO-Tafelservice, sind auch alle später entstandenen Ergänzungen aus den geometrischen Grundformen Kreis und Kugel entwickelt – bis ins kleinste Detail: den kugelförmigen Deckelknauf.
