Das weiße Porzellan, der Fond im zarten Zitroneng und der dezente Goldrand komplementieren sich und ergeben ein herzliches Ensemble und eine zurückhaltende Eleganz. Das Auftragen des Goldrandes verlangt höchste Konzentration, denn das Feingold wird von den Maler:innen der KPM mit einem dünnen Pinsel von Hand aufgetragen. In ihrer Formensprache ist die Kollektion KURLAND an die römische Antike angelehnt. Perlschnüre und Draperien waren zu Beginn des Klassizismus sehr beliebte Dekorelemente – auch auf Porzellanen. So entstand um 1790 ein streng klassizistisches Service, das bis heute zahlreiche Bewunderer und Fans zählen kann.
